April 17, 2006 We are Upgrading  ****If you have recently signed up with Bizwala hosting or have migrated this message does not apply to you: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Bizwala is committed to security and reliability. Thus, to keep this promise to our customers, over the next 6 months we will be in the process of upgrading and migrating all outdated servers and control panels. These upgrades will help in over all performance of your servers security and usability. Though you do have a choice to remain on your current system, we can no longer support any outdated Ensim or Viva software and recommend that all current clients on those systems request to be scheduled for migration to Plesk control panel at your earliest convenience. If you have custom scripts or custom configuration of your web server please inform us so that we may be properly aware to test and make modifications accordingly. All support for Ensim and Viva will end July 2006. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FAQ: Q: How long does a migration take and will there be downtime? A: It all depends on the amount of data and the setup of the domains. It can take anywhere from half hour of downtime or more. We typically schedule a move if you have Bizwala do it or we setup the new server and you can move domains and sites at your own leisure. We give you 30 days to move to the new server with out a double charge. Q: What will the new server control panel be like? A: We will be migrating you to Plesk. You will still have squirrelmail but will also have Horde mail which has more options. To find out more about Plesk go to www.plesk.com Q: Do I have to migrate the sites or can I pay Bizwala? A: If you are not internet savvy we recommend Bizwala do it for a fee ranging from $65 to $150 one time. Q: What if I don't want to move? A: You will be hosting at your own risk and we will not support any updates or configuration. Q: When is the deadline to migrate our server? A: You have until July 2006. back to main page |
